HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS FOR EVERYONE HORSEY.

Dont forget to enter the Halloween Painting or Drawing or Pumpkin Carving Competition. Put your name and age on your art work. Class 1 – 9 yrs and under, Class 2 10 -14 yrs class 3 15 yrs and over. Prizes for all. Judging/prize giving  on Saturday afternoon.

Monday –  Friday – daily badge practise – Points of a pony, Grooming, Care of the foot, yard safety.  You can pick the ones you want to do, the first two are easier than the last ones. You need to do at least 3 sessions to take the badge.

Tuesday – Pony Club Rally, full uniform, mounted in the morning and unmounted in the afternoon. D+ – C – C+ training. From 9am-5pm

Wednesday – Gymkhana for all abilities, rosettes for all. Fancy dress incl.

Thursday – Things you need to learn before going to a show/trailing. Grooming , washing  and plaiting your pony, cleaning your tack, learning to bandage your ponies legs and tail, have a go at loading your pony, finishing off by showing your pony in a turnout class and finding out how well you’ve done. Rosettes for all.

Friday – Halloween ride , put on your scariest outfit, fine tune your make-up, dress up your pony and frighten the local residents on a fun ride for both those who just walk and trot and also those who want to canter. 2 separate rides.

Saturday – lessons as usual

Sunday – Bloodhounding – Compton Farm (Riders must be able to canter and jump small fences)

Week 2 will be similar to week one for those whose half term is next week, with the exception of Bloodhounding, please call for times and prices of all events and hope to see you soon.

Sunday 9th  – School Show Jumping practise for those competing this year

(if you would like to compete next year all you have to do is talk to your PE teacher and me and we can make it happen for you.

Monday 10th – Fun day afternoon 2 pm – 4pm space hopper races, dog show jumping ( you can borrow one of ours)! Walk the plank, bandaging races etc.  Great fun for all, come and enjoy yourselves. £5

Tuesday 11 th  Bareback Lesson 30 mins of bareback practise in the manege, £15

Tuesday 11th  Beach ride. walk and trot, £30 and stay to clean your tack, please call for tide times, 077482-53899

PONY CLUB RALLY, mounted and unmounted. 9am start till approx 5pm. Please bring lunch and a drink and if wet a change of clothes. All Pony Club members must attend 3 rallies per year (before 1st July 2017 from the end of camp last year) if they wish to attend summer camp. This is a Pony Club HQ rule not mine.  Badge practises will take place at all rallies.

Groom your pony, wash tails and present for Rally inspection, Full uniform for all riders (new members – white school shirt with collar, pony club tie, pony club badge, sweat shirt or hoody, jods – beige/white or yellow if poss. Gloves,  Riding hat and riding boots. If you don’t have it all please wear as much as you can and order up badges, sweatshirts, polo shirts or hoodies before 1st June to be sure of having it for camp.

Full uniform should be – Jods, boots, badge, shirt, tie, hat, hairnet and gloves are essential. 

Wear old clothes,over your best riding clothes to keep yourself clean while grooming and getting ready for inspection.

£35 for regular riding members and £45 for visiting members.

Thursday – Beach ride  Please arrive at 9 to get your pony ready and dress to get wet, so no leather boots!! A change of clothes may be a good idea.

Fri 14th – Mounted Easter Egg Hunt (open to all) naround the paddock and manege, including walking and trotting your pony around gathering as many eggs as you can find and then eating them. Some jumps (optional for the more experienced second group) will be set up in the school. You can be On or Off the leading rein. £20

Date TBA. –  Cross Country Lesson,  experienced riders only, £35 members, Non/visiting members £45

Sat 15th – Lessons as usual along with badge practise

Fri 21st – Jumping and Games show.  Rosettes for all – jumps start at 6″ on a leading rein for those who are learning, upto 2’6″ for those who like a challenge.

Sat 22nd – Lessons as usual along with badge practise

Test day for Badges and Certificates Sunday 23rd  April 2017

Sunday is Test day for all those who are hoping to take badges, efficiency tests, progressive tests. This will start at 2.15 so you will need to arrive an hour before to get your pony ready please.
